چکیده

The characteristics of the fission step following a binary deep-inelastic interaction have been reconstructed for three-body events detected in the reactions Mo + Mo at 18,7A MeV and Sn + Sn at 18.4A MeV. The observed anisotropy of the in-plane angular distributions points to the fast decay of a rotating (and strongly deformed) nuclear object formed at the end of the deep-inelastic interaction. The derived time scale of the process indicates that asymmetric divisions are faster than symmetric ones.

Supernova - neutrino studies with 100

We show that supernova neutrinos can be studied by observing their charged-current interactions with 100Mo, which has strong spin–isospin giant resonances. Information about both the effective temperature of the electron–neutrino sphere and the oscillation into electron neutrinos of other flavors can be extracted from the electron (inverse β) spectrum. We use measured hadronic charge-exchange s...

Spectroscopy of double-beta and inverse-beta decays from 100Mo for neutrinos.

Spectroscopic studies of two beta rays from 100Mo are shown to be of potential interest for investigating both the Majorana nu mass by neutrinoless double beta decay (0nubetabeta) and low energy solar nu's by inverse beta decay. With a multiton 100Mo detector, coincidence studies of correlated betabeta from 0nubetabeta, together with the large Q value ( Q(betabeta)), permit identification of th...

گذر از شکافت نامتقارن به متقارن در واکنش شکافت اورانیم 238 با پروتونهای MeV 69 - 45

Thin targets of 238U were bombarded with 45, 55, 65 and 69 MeV protons at the Cyclotron and Radioisotope Center (CYRIC) of Tohoku University in Japan. Gamma rays emitted from the fission products were recorded and analyzed by using gamma spectroscopy. Then, the cross sections for the formation of fission products, fragment mass distributions, and total fission cross sections were measured. Spec...

The properties of the giant-dipole resonance (GDR) are calculated as a function of excitation energy, angular momentum, and the compound nucleus particle decay width in the nuclei 120Sn and 208Pb, and are compared with recent experimental data. Differences observed in the behavior of the fullwidth-at-half-maximum of the GDR for 120Sn and 208Pb are attributed to the fact that shell corrections i...

Low-temperature measurement of the giant dipole resonance width

The width of the giant dipole resonance (GDR) built on excited states was determined from a measurement of γ -decays in coincidence with 17O particles scattered inelastically from 120Sn. The bombarding energy was 80 MeV/u. A width of 4 ± 1 MeV, consistent with the width of the GDR built on the ground state, was found at a temperature T = 1 MeV. This result is in disagreement with adiabatic ther...
